General Questions

(e.g., national hotel chains, independent restaurants, multi-property managers)

  • Our largest concentration of clients is property management, heavily weighted toward multifamily but includes office buildings and shopping centers.
  • We also have a strong presence in manufacturing and distribution, hospitality, food service (primarily fast-food restaurants), retail and supermarkets, and convenience stores/gas stations.
  • We also serve hospitals and clinics, schools and churches, golf and country clubs, and construction.
  • Industry doesn’t matter - as long as a commercial enterprise has a waste or recycling container, we can help.

Missed pickups, too much time spent on hold when calling customer service, lack of dedicated account manager to handle service and billing issues (“one throat to choke”), too much time spent disputing charges for overages, etc, confusing billing with unexpected charges.

(e.g., based on cost, reliability, compliance, or specialty services)

  • While lowering cost is a primary driver in assessing haulers, the haulers ability to service the location consistently is equally important.
    • Our extensive national experience with haulers provides us with insight into their service history and reliability.
  • We guarantee 10% savings; however, on average, we save our clients between 20–30% in the first year. It is not uncommon to see considerably more savings.
  • Many of our clients see 50% savings within 5 years, since we lower their initial costs and, through our proprietary agreements with haulers, cap annual increases far below market. The compound savings, compared to standard industry pricing with typical annual increases and auto-renewal rates, means our clients pay far less than their competitors going forward and see tremendous savings over 5–10 years.
  • We simplify the management of their waste contracts:
    • We take on all activities related to contract management.
    • Contract management is centralizing it in our dedicated system. This is important since we find that over 90% of prospective clients don’t have a copy of their current waste contracts, don’t know who signed the contracts, and don’t know the terms of their contracts.
    • We monitor contract end dates and renewal terms to guarantee there are no auto-renewals, thereby giving us an opportunity to negotiate and renegotiate every contract. This is important because most prospective clients are not aware of the renewal terms and only learn of auto-renewals when they’re surprised by the first bill with increased rates. By then, it’s too late to do anything about the increases.
    • We save the client’s staff hours each month since we:
      • Provide an account manager dedicated to the client’s operations – a single point of contact for any issues related to service or billing questions. No more calling into a customer service center and speaking to a different person each time they call.
      • Understand your business and proactively manage solutions that prevent issues from arising.
      • Are the liaison with the haulers, so the client doesn’t have to wait on hold. Our relation allows us “back-door” access that provides us with faster responses when issues arise.
      • Monitor monthly activity and proactively suggest changes in service to maximize savings while improving operations.
      • Audit every invoice to ensure we are billed in compliance with agreed upon terms.
      • Dispute every overage charge and demand proof from the haulers.
      • Consolidate billing for multiple locations into a single invoice from PWS (unless the client chooses a different billing option like separate invoices for each location). So, one payment instead of many.
      • Provide clients with online access to our dashboard.
      • Provide custom reporting of monthly activity, if needed.
